We recently held a financial capability focus group in Melbourne. We discussed ideas and gathered feedback from Financial Counsellors on how we can better support people in financial difficulty.

Culture has been a key theme for AFSA this year. While our focus has primarily been the organisational culture of insolvency professionals, we have also taken the opportunity to look at our own organisational culture. 

This report is designed to educate people about the existing processes and share the insights we’ve gained through complaints, inspections and our data.

We are simplifying the process to apply for bankruptcy, combining the Statement of Affairs and Debtor's Petition forms and moving this service online.
