We have developed new bankruptcy case studies to help people understand the consequences of bankruptcy.
The new case studies have been developed based on feedback received at a recent financial capability focus group we held in Melbourne. The new case studies provide personalised information on secured car debts, tax obligations and superannuation questions.
Last year we launched 5 bankruptcy case studies, and feedback received so far has been positive.
You have told us they are a useful tool for clients who are considering bankruptcy.
In particular, that more practical scenario based information helps people understand how they may be impacted. We want to help people make the right decision for them, and avoid nasty surprises after they’ve gone bankrupt.
We hope this will help people understand the consequences relevant to them.
